Vigeland

Frogner Park is one of the most popular destinations in Norway, for a tourist like myself or local residents. It is also the home of the largest collection of sculptures by a single artist anywhere in the world. The Vigeland Sculpture Arrangement of 194 granite and bronze sculptures situated on 80 acres in the center of the park is utterly unique and I was astounded when I first saw it. So astounded that I returned to the park year after year, camera in hand, eager to see how the massive sculptures would play out in the sun and against the sky and clouds on the August day I was there. It was never less than wonderful.
